Danté Harmon is a devoted husband, loving father, passionate teacher, skilled multi-instrumentalist, and dedicated servant. With over 20 years of service at the House of God Church, he has enriched the spiritual lives of many through his roles as a musician and Sunday school teacher. His deep faith is harmoniously intertwined with his musical talents, and he holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Software Technology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Christian Ministries & Counseling.
Since confirming his call to ministry in 2008 and being ordained and licensed in 2009, Harmon has expanded his reach through writing. He is currently working on his first book and an e-book journal, aiming to elevate the thought consciousness of his readers with divine teaching and practical insights.
Harmon’s educational and spiritual journey has been profoundly shaped by esteemed mentors, including his first pastor and grandmother, the late Elder Julia Shaw; the late Bishop J.W. Jenkins; Bishop Charles E. Campbell; the late Dr. Myles Munroe; Elder Charles Ryan; Pastor Emeritus Jasper Williams Jr.; and Dr. E. Bernard Jordan. These wise teachers have significantly influenced his approach and dedication to ministry.
Additionally, Harmon shares his knowledge as a part-time instructor at the University of Georgia and serves as a pastor for the Community of Believers. His life and teachings are guided by the wisdom of Proverbs 4:7: “In all thy getting, get understanding,” ensuring that his ministry not only educates but also transforms lives.
Shawnee N. Harmon is a woman breaking barriers through self-confidence, self-love, and personal growth. She is dedicated to restoring life from within and breathing life into others. Guided by spirituality and supported by her family, Shawnee has redefined herself, overcoming insecurities about her beauty and lovability. She transcended the stigma of being a teenage mother and surviving toxic relationships. Through this journey, God has led her to a profound understanding of her purpose as a mother of three and grandmother of four. Her experiences, especially raising two disabled sons, have taught her that true strength lies within God's constant presence.
Born and raised in Evergreen, Alabama, as the ninth of eleven children to the late Elder Johnny and Shelly Booker, Shawnee's path to ministry was inevitable. Her grandmother, Elder Irean George, alongside numerous uncles, aunts, and siblings, were also devoted to preaching, teaching, and singing. On January 28, 2004, Shawnee delivered her initial sermon titled “I Ain’t Never Scared” at the House of God Church Keith Dominion, where she was an active member. For over 20 years, she served as the youth choir director and praise and worship leader, showcasing her vocal talents.
In 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Shawnee founded “Community of Believers,” a ministry born from her desire to keep her family spiritually connected through Facebook Messenger church services. The ministry has since grown beyond her expectations, thriving under God's guidance.
Shawnee's dedication extends beyond the church. She has been recognized by the Conecuh County School System for her active involvement as the school choir director and has received accolades for her performances in numerous stage plays and for writing her own monologues. With a passion for sharing her journey, Shawnee plans to publish her first book, "It Wasn't For Me," in 2025.
In addition to her ministry work, Shawnee is a certified Emergency Medical Dispatcher for the State of Alabama and APCO, as well as a certified Public Safety Telecommunication Instructor. She earned her Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from Coastal Alabama College in 2022. Shawnee lives by the motto from Luke 12:48, "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required," reflecting her commitment to using her gifts to serve others.
